Overview

Orphanage or disabled home programs can help the children in the DRC to learn and experience various skill development programs and bring hope to the children and build communication skills. This kind of program can not only help the children at present but can also provide hope for their future and feel not being ignored by society.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu

Receive at Airport by IVIN Team and Transfer to Hotel

Day 2 : Orientation and Evening Local Market Visit

We will formally meet for our in-person introduction and briefing about us and about the projects in the orientation. It will mostly include introduction of the IVIN members, about the project, activities and mainly the Roles and Responsibilities. Kathmandu has a vibrant evening with lots of hastles. We will guide you around the local market and introduce you with local market price, groceries, etc.

Day 3 : Project Place Visit and Introduction

On the second day, we will visit the project location and introduce you with the members. Also do the tour and observe the classes for better planning.

Day 4 : Project Engagement + Evening Nepali Class

In the morning, after having your breakfast, you will have to be in the project location. The time will depend upon the organisation. Once you share with us your required volunteer hour from your university, we can manage your placement in 1-2 organisations and help schedule it. In the evening, we will have a separate session for you in learning the Nepali Basic language + Culture Introduction.

Day 5 : Project Engagement + Evening Nepali Class

In the morning, after having your breakfast, you will have to be in the project location. The time will depend upon the organisation. Once you share with us your required volunteer hour from your university, we can manage your placement in 1-2 organisations and help schedule it. In the evening, we will have a separate session for you in learning the Nepali Basic language + Culture Introduction.

Day 6 : Project Engagement

Day 7 : Kathmandu Valley City Tour or Rest

This is the weekend plan. If you wish us to organise a city tour, we can organize it. As we have in-house city guide, we can take you to the some of the oldest Monasteries, Temples and Palaces in Kathmandu Valley.

Day 8 : Project Engagement

Project engagement as per your routine and free time on your own.

Day 9 to Day 11 : Project Engagement

Project engagement as per your routine and free time on your own.

Day 12 : Project Engagement + Depart for Excursion

At the end of the program, we organise a group excursion to either of the two beautiful city of Nepal which are Chitwan and Pokhara. In Chitwan you can elephant ride, visit National Park, enjoy cultural show and in the Pokhara, you can enjoy majorly Sunrise, Mountain View, Paraglide, etc.

Day 13 : Weekend in Pokhara/Chitwan

Day 14 : Weekend at Pokhara + Return to Kathmandu

Day 15 : Depart to Home Country

Note: Please note that the schedule outlined above is designed for a minimum two-week time frame. We are flexible and can customize it based on your arrival date and your preferences

  •   Alcoholic Drinks
  •   Outings Expenses not organized by IVIN.
  •   Any extra resources for schools and monasteries.

Note : We shall not be responsible for any changes and alterations in the itineraries due to unavoidable circumstances i.e. landslide, lockdown, road blockage, floods, snowfall, political unrest, cancellation of flights, delay arrivals, sickness or accidents and any extra cost incurring thereof shall be borne by the clients themselves at the spot. It is most advisable for clients to have full INSURANCE against medical and personal accidents.

    Ngima Tashi Sherpa is a native of the beautiful Khunde village nestled in the heart of the Everest region, where his passion for adventure and cultural exploration was ignited. With a bachelor's degree in Travel and Tourism Management from Nepal College of Travel and Tourism, Ngima embarked on a journey to become a versatile trekking leader, specializing in trekking adventures around Everest, Tsum Valley, and Poon Hill. In addition to his role as a trekking leader, Ngima serves as a cultural ambassador, offering captivating tours of Kathmandu's rich heritage sites. With a deep understanding of Nepali history and traditions, he brings ancient stories to life, weaving together narratives of kings and temples, art and architecture, and spirituality and mythology. Beyond his work, Ngima has also dedicated himself to service and community engagement. As a Volunteer Manager, he honed his skills in project management and leadership, overseeing incoming volunteers and coordinating impactful initiatives that contribute to the betterment of local communities.
