Women's Empowerment Volunteering in Solukhumbu

Himalayan women are one of the toughest and bravest people. We bet you that looking at their resilience and strength will astonish you. They grow their own food, weave their own clothes, take care of children and husbands, and take care of home. Yet still, they need to be empowered. As the world progresses rapidly, the younger generation is progressing rapidly. So this program aims to teach those women in the village to teach English and other awareness related to menstruation health and sex education so that these women can stay healthy as well as empowered through having the confidence to speak and often start to operate small lodges and homestays for tourist and make an income. At Least a month-long volunteering is needed in such remote areas so that you will have ample time to understand their cultures and traditions and the teachers and students will learn a lot from your presence.

Women empowerment project is a project which provides women a sense of their right to have and determine choices, their right to have access to opportunities and resources, their right to have control over their lives and their ability to influence other.
